When you drive through Portland on I-295 over Tukey’s Bridge and look out toward Portland Harbor, you see the perpetually open Back Cove swing bridge, between the B&M Baked Beans plant and the Portland peninsula. WJBQ-FM, more popularly known at Q97.9, provides a short history of the bridge you might have glimpsed as you’ve made your way between campus and points south.
