The Smarter We Are — The More We Fool Ourselves? (Psychology Today)



You would think that the smarter a person is the better equipped they are to interpret facts correctly. However, a study published in Psychology Today finds that the more intelligent people are, the more likely they are to interpret facts in a way that reinforces their existing beliefs on a topic, sometimes causing them to interpret those facts incorrectly.
