Women’s Volleyball — The Bowdoin College women’s volleyball team made its home debut with a resounding 3-0 exhibition win over the University of New Brunswick on Friday. The result was never in doubt as the Polar Bears claimed the sweep by set scores of 25-14, 25-6, 25-10. Every healthy Polar Bear played in Friday night’s win as Emma Patterson and Christy Jewett had six kills each. Audrey DeFusco had three aces while Quincy Leech earned 24 assists.
Men’s Soccer — The Bowdoin men’s soccer team battled to a double overtime 0-0 tie on Friday night against Thomas College. The Polar Bears (1-2-2, 0-2-1 NESCAC) play to their second consecutive tie, controlling the pace of play in the opening half and applying even more offensive pressure in the opening minutes of the second half before the Terriers were able to mount an attack of their own. Bowdoin outshot the Terriers by a 24-10 margin overall, while holding an 8-4 advantage in corner kicks.
