1935 — Two world records and three national marks are shattered by Alice Bridges and Johnny Higgins in Curtis Pool during the Bowdoin Patriot’s Day Swimming Carnival. Bridges breaks the 150 backstroke world record and Higgins breaks the 500 breaststroke world record.
