Other top restaurant trends in 2013 will supposedly be the presence of ash on cooked meat to add “smoky notes” and slate slabs instead of your standard porcelain plates.

  1. Love trends, but skip the ash unless it is from virgin, chemical treated wood. Be very careful with slate-it can chip-colorful patterned works of tiles works wellwell with textured linens & variety of solid colored plates, glassware, & vases with solid flowers.
