U.S. defense officials are taking lessons from the nations that already use women soldiers in combat, according to National Geographic. There are roughly a dozen nations that have opened “close combat roles” to women, but the restrictions on what women can do vary from country to country. The nations with the fewest limitations are Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Israel, New Zealand and Norway.
