As part of the 100th anniversary of the adoption of the Polar Bear as the College mascot, Bowdoin’s own Polar Bear is to make a scheduled appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe Thursday, January 17, alongside Fortune magazine managing editor and frequent Morning Joe contributor Andy Serwer ’81. The program airs 6 a.m.-9 a.m.
We’re told the Polar Bear will make his appearance as early as 8:20 and also at 8:50.
The New York City heritage tour commemorates the Polar Bear’s selection by the Alumni Council during a meeting on the Upper West Side on January 18, 1913.

I love this picture of the Polar Bear skiing on the snowy slops of Maine and how it represents Bowdoin and I LOVE POLAR BEARS!!!
