The Second Half Centre, founded by Jill Shaw Ruddock ’77, officially opened its doors with a celebration January 22, 2013. Shaw Ruddock, who received the 2012 Common Good Award, created The Second Half Centre to be a place where women and men over the age of 50, from all socioeconomic circumstances, could learn new skills, build social networks and find ways to make the “second half” of their lives more fulfilling. Its founding comes on the heels of Shaw Ruddock’s book, The Second Half of Your Life (Random House, 2011). Read London Evening Standard coverage.
