Video Shows Largest Iceberg Breakup Ever Recorded (The Atlantic)

A group of filmmakers say they’ve captured the largest iceberg calving ever documented on video. This clip depicts 7.4 cubic kilometers — nearly 2 cubic miles — of ice crashing off the Ilulissat glacier in Greenland, The Atlantic reports. The video is a teaser for a new documentary called Chasing Ice, which follows photographer James Balog’s mission to document the Arctic ice melting due to warming temperatures.
