Millennials Like to Read the News Old-School Style (The Atlantic)

Young people are not so different from their grandparents when it comes to reading the news on their mobile devices, a study from the Pew Research Center finds. They don’t want space age-looking news stories; instead, they want their news apps and mobile sites to resemble traditional newspapers. According to the study, “58% of those under 50, and 60% of Millennials, prefer a ‘print-like experience’ over tech features like audio, video, and complex graphics,” The Atlantic reports. “For all the attention given to *rich multi-media experiences,* news readers still enjoy reading the news the way their great-grandparents did: In columns of paragraphs.”
