Lobster Age Determined by Growth Rings (Lexington Herald Reader)

Scientists have recently found growth rings in the eyestalks of lobsters that can determine the lobster’s age — like counting rings on a tree. Knowing instead of guessing the age of lobster and other shellfish will help scientists and regulators better manage the population.
