Bowdoin Announces Extensive Webcast Schedule For Fall Sporting Events

 

The Bowdoin College Athletic Department has announced extensive live coverage plans for its fall sports.

In all, Bowdoin will provide live coverage for 35 home games this autumn, including 22 video webcasts through its official website, www.goubears.com.

Every home football and women’s volleyball game will be available via video webcast while selected games in field hockey, men’s soccer and women’s soccer will be streamed. Every home field hockey, men’s soccer, women’s soccer and football home game will be available via live statistics coverage.

Min “Ivy” Xing ’15 this summer closely followed a doctor in Texas who has a robust online reputation — his Twitter feed has almost 6,000 followers.

As the physician posted on topics such as Hodgkin lymphoma or metabolite-sensing G protein-coupled receptors, Xing meticulously tracked his tweets and the responses of his followers.
