Toronto-based songwriter and musician James Gadon ’07 and his band, The Hollowbodies, recently released their debut album, Town Without a Name. The title track, which references Brunswick and Maine, James says, “is about my experience leaving home, attending Bowdoin, and heading south to Nashville.” James describes The Hollowbodies as “a modern blend of blues, country, and R&B with indelible hooks evocative of Tom Petty, and a folk-rock sensibility reminiscent of The Band—40 years behind the times in all the right ways!”

Town Without a Name is available on iTunes and Soundcloud features streams of a few album tracks. “Great for sharing via email and Facebook,” Jason hints.

Fans can follow The Hollowbodies on Twitter @thehollowbodies and can check out a review of the band’s album release show (and more photos) at the live music site, buying shots for bands.
