Northern Bites Advance in RoboCup World Championship Games

In Istanbul, Turkey, for the RoboCup World Championship games, Bowdoin’s Northern Bites, beat the Austrian Kangaroos, 1-0, to advance to the round of 16.

“Our goal was a beauty,” says Professor of Computer Science Eric Chown, the team’s advisor. “We had a player at midfield near the sideline facing completely away from the goal and he back-kicked it right into the corner of the goal.”
