Free Time App by Recent Grads ‘New and Noteworthy’

The ink is barely dry on their diplomas, and already Ben Johnson ’11, Houston Kraft ’11 and Nathan Merritt ’11 have not only launched a new mobile app, but scored a coveted spot in the “New and Noteworthy” section on iTunes. Free Time, an app aimed at “changing the way you look at your calendar,” automatically finds the free time in your schedule and helps coordinate with others. “The events we schedule are important to us, but finding our availability between those events is even more important,” says the team, who produced this video to demonstrate how Free Time works. In just four days, Johnson reports more than 60,000 downloads (that’s about one every five seconds).
