Bowdoin’s Brock Clarke on ‘Tights and Camo’ (New York Times Magazine)

An essay by Associate Professor of English Brock Clarke, author of the novels Exley and An Arsonist’s Guide to Writers’ Homes in New England, was published as The New York Times Magazine‘s coveted “Lives” feature. Clarke shares his observations of father-son relationships and masculine pride as seen through the lens of a chance encounter with a gun-toting, camo-clad woodsman, while the writer himself was decked out in “ski tights and a hat with a fuzzy ball on top.”
