Bowdoin is Scanning Homer (Portland Press Herald)

The Bowdoin College Museum of Art is in the process of scanning its collection of Winslow Homer memorabilia, including numerous family photos. The idea is to make the items—more than 270 of which are already online—available to the public and scholars even when they cannot be on exhibit.

Bowdoin Celebrates Baccalaureate 2010

Bowdoin College held its 2010 Baccalaureate ceremony Friday, May 28, marking the official close of the academic year and celebrating the College’s 205th Commencement (to be held Saturday, May 29). President Mills spoke of the state of higher education; Nathan Isaacson ’10 spoke of the inextricable link between Bowdoin and Maine; and  distinguished educator and author Joan Countryman delivered the keynote address.
