'One Cool Thing' — Arc Attack

Each week, Bowdoin Chief Information Officer Mitch Davis offers a look at news and trends in technology, gadgets, inventions, or just something worth checking out. It’s called “One Cool Thing.”

This brings me back to when I built a 7 ft. tall Van de Graff generator for a 7th grade science project. Using your body and set of Tesla coils as an instrument is a unique and very cool use of electricity and sound. I always thought that the Russian Theremin was the coolest sci-fi instrument, and it was developed over 80 years ago. Now it has finally been upstaged by this guy and his creation. I am sure this will be used by Cirque Du Soleil very soon to do something even more incredible.

If you have a moment, this is worth watching…
