    No kidding! This is hardly even news….

  • A professor of education at NYU named Diane Ravitch has written a book about the failures of the public system, and it comes down to not only unmotivated students but also overwhelming pressure on teachers to prepare students in test taking for government mandated tests (e.g. No Student Left Behind) rather than educating them.
